It is only a matter of days before the roster lock for the upcoming TI12 Qualifiers is set in place. This is arguably one of the spiciest periods in the professional Dota circuit where some of the craziest roster moves take place. One such crazy roster move which has been floating around the rumor mill is that legendary Dota player, Topson, will move to Tundra Esports. Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen is one of the biggest names in the history of Dota. He has multiple accolades of glory and success in the game, including two TI wins.

Tundra Esports Rumored To Sign Legendary Dota Player

The latest leaks claim that two-time TI champion, Topson will be joining Tundra Esports for the upcoming TI Qualifiers. Another interesting claim was that Tundra’s mid-laner, Leon “Nine” Kirilin is transitioning to the support role. This lines up with Tundra’s primary support player, Martin “Saksa” Sazdov, taking a break from the game due to health issues.

Nine has been a part of Tundra’s roster for the past two and a half years where he has excelled in the mid-lane role and made some of the most historical plays in professional play. According to official tracker roles, Nine has played 37 games in the last eight days where he played Skywrath Mage and Rubick in a support capacity.

The team’s primary support player, Saksa, is having severe health issues, failing to make it to multiple tournaments including Dreamleague S20, Riyadh Masters, and The Bali Major 2023. Topson will most likely be tagged into the team as a mid-laner while Nine will be shifting to the support role.

Tundra Esports has proved they are a force to be reckoned with. Despite winning The International last year, they somehow looked shaky in 2023, missing out on most Grand Finals of international tournaments. However, they secured their latest international championship by winning Riyadh Masters.
