Windows 11 introduces Auto Super Resolution, utilizing AI for smoother gameplay and enhanced graphics.
Speak For Me enables users to create voice avatars for in-person or online meetings.
Features expected to enhance user experience await official release from Microsoft.
After the successful launch of Copilot, Microsoft is ready to reveal its upscaling feature called Auto Super Resolution to Windows 11. Auto Super Resolution was seen under the graphics section of the display's setting in the recent Windows 11 preview build 26052.
The Auto Super Resolution was mentioned in the Windows 11 preview build 26052 alongside other features like Speak For Me in Windows 11 version 24H2. Just like Auto Super Resolution, Speak For Me utilizes AI to recognize the user's voice and create the voice avatar. Once the voice is ready, the user can give a text input and Speak For Me will be able to generate the speech using the user's voice avatar.

Upscaling is one of the most common features that GPU manufacturers are advertising, which helps the user to get higher resolution despite running on a low-end configuration. Nvidia's upscaling technology is known as Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), whereas AMD and Intel come with FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) and Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) AI technology, respectively.
With the Auto Super Resolution, the intuition is that Windows 11 will utilize AI to enhance the quality of the frames on the screen. AI upscales like DLSS, FSR, and XeSS use AI algorithms to improve the quality of a low-resolution frame to a high resolution. Microsoft's Auto Super Resolution is expected to do the same, and the description of the feature reads:
Use AI to make supported games play more smoothly with enhanced details.
Alongside the description, the preview build 26052 even had a "More about Auto SR" hyperlink, which is just a placeholder. Once Microsoft is ready with the feature, they will talk more about it and provide detailed documentation on the same. Since the feature is not available to use, it is difficult to state the process the Auto Super Resolution follow to upscale the images in their upcoming updates.
Just like the Auto Super Resolution, the Windows 11 preview build 26052 comes with another interesting AI feature called Speak For Me, which allows the users to create a voice avatar of their own and generate speech using that. The description of the Speak For Me reads:
With the help of Speak For Me, you can create your own voice avatar or preserve your own voice" and then use it for in-person or online meetings.
Since Microsoft has not enabled these features, fans will have to wait for official words about their workings.
