Apple is just months away from unveiling its next flagship smartphone -- the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The smartphone is expected to pack several upgrades in the camera and battery departments.
This will be the first time, the company is expected to expand the Pro Max variant from 6.7 to 6.9 inches, making it the company’s largest model yet. The design changes, however, may not be restricted to just that, as new leaks suggest it could be an almost borderless design.

iPhone 16 Pro Max To Be Apple’s Biggest Phone To Date
A reliable leaker called Ice Universe has posted a tweet highlighting the upcoming smartphone’s dimensions. The tweet suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will come with a 163.024mm × 77.575mm × 8.26mm body and a 6.883-inch display. This corroborates with previous claims about the smartphone offering a bigger 6.9-inch display.
Interestingly, the leaker suggests that the smartphone’s bezel will only be 1.153mm thick. If this information turns out to be accurate, Apple’s upcoming flagship will become the world’s thinnest-bezel smartphone. The tweet further adds that “the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be the world’s closest smartphone to a borderless sci-fi form factor.”
The smaller Pro model could also offer the same thin bezel, the non-Pro models are expected to miss out on this design change. The company seems to be widening the gap between the regular and Pro iPhones in recent times, and the lower-end models have been skipping some good upgrades. For instance, settling for year-old chipsets despite carrying a flagship tag.
The iPhone 16 series will likely be launched in September during Apple’s annual event. The company could also reveal the much-anticipated Apple Watch X at the event.
