Google seems dedicated to improving and upgrading its AI chatbot, Gemini. The company plans on integrating Gemini into all its services. First, Gemini was featured on Gmail web in June, and now it is coming to the mobile interface as well. The company recently announced that its chatbot, Gemini, is now available on the Gmail app for Android.
The feature, dubbed Gmail Q&A, is now rolling out for all Android users, but it comes for a price. The feature is only available to users who have subscribed to the advanced version of Gemini. Google has also stated that the feature is also coming soon for iOS users.
With Gmail Q&A, as per Google, users can access Gemini in the Gmail app as a personal assistant that can read users’ entire email inboxes. Google states users can ask Gemini to summarise that can read their entire email inbox.

How Will Gemini Power Gmail Q&A Feature
Google suggests users can ask Gemini to summarise emails by stating things such as “Catch me up on the emails about quarterly planning.” Moreover, users can utilize the feature to retrieve precise information by asking Gemini targeted questions like "What was the exact budget for the company's most recent marketing campaign?"
Subscribers will be able to access the feature by clicking on the black star icon, now a recognizable symbol for Gemini within the company’s range of products, located in the upper-right corner of the app.
As of now, the Gmail Q&A feature can only draw information from users’ emails, but Google plans to expand its features to also offer access to files stored in their Google Drive account in the future. But, it is only available for subscribers.
Google doesn’t plan on offering Gmail Q7A to free Gmail users in the coming days, instead using premium features like Gmail Q&A as a selling point to justify the monthly subscription fees for Gemini and entice users to upgrade to a paid plan.

Google Brings Gemini’s Onscreen Awareness To More Phones
Google is said to be rolling out new Gemini AI assistant features on Android smartphones that enable users to ask the AI chatbot questions related to what’s on their phone’s display. Moreover, Gemini has the ability to offer YouTube video summaries and respond to queries to specific YouTube videos.
These features have been available on the latest Pixel 9 series smartphones; however, it looks like they are rolling out to other Android smartphones as well. Once the feature is live on your device, open the floating window for the Gemini AI assistant by long pressing the power button.
Users will see a new “Ask about this screen” floating button above the Gemini window. Tapping on the button takes a screenshot of what is on the screen and shares it with Gemini AI.
