Circle to Search was introduced earlier this year, and it became a popular feature in just a matter of days. The feature offers a convenient way to search the smartphone screen. The tool has gained some new functions since it came out, and now it seems there are three more features incoming.
An APK teardown has revealed some features that could arrive in the service in the coming days based on the work-in-progress code. However, it’s possible that such predicted features might not make it to a public release.
Android Authority and leaker AssembleDebug found that the Circle to Search will allow users to save the selected part of their screen to the cloud. The outlet was able to use this feature on their device and also found out that the feature could “listen” and “select all” buttons, suggesting that two existing Lens features are coming to Google’s new search tool.

Save Button Coming To Circle To Search
It seems Circle to Seach will be offering a “save” button in the resulting pop-up menu once users select an area of the screen to search. These screenshots won’t be saved in the user’s Google Photos library but rather in the “saved” tab of their Google app. To be precise, these images get saved in an “uploaded images” collection by default.
But there are some downsides to it like users won’t be able to share individual screenshots from their collection, but they can share a link to the entire collection of images. Other people can also contribute to this collection by adding their screenshots and other images.
Circle to Search might also get “listen” and “select all” buttons. The findings also show these strings but there was no way to activate them, so it’s hard to say how they will work.

Circle To Search Coming To iPhones With Google Chrome
Earlier this year, Google introduced “Circle to Search” which does exactly what its moniker suggests. The feature enables users to draw a circle on pictures to search and identify the object.
The feature was first available for Samsung Galaxy S24 series and Pixel 8. Now, it seems the popular feature is making its way to Apple’s iOS soon. It will be available through Google Chrome for iOS. According to The Mac Observer, Google is working on an updated version of Google Lens Search, internally called “LensOverlay.” Eventually, the update could bring along Circle to Search.
The outlet also claims that a new flag “Lens Circle to Search” has been added suggesting that users can look for items by just circling on their screen on Chrome for iOS. Once enabled, the feature will be accessible within Google Lens for iPhone users.
