The basketball game NBA 2K24, developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K is set to release on September 8. The game lets players live out their NBA ambitions and also boasts a variety of single-player and multiplayer game modes.
The game reportedly has a massive install size on Xbox Series X|S consoles, even bigger than that of Bethesda's Starfield. NBA 2K24’s install size will measure in at 161 GB at launch (Starfield needed 140 GB), excluding the ‘day one patch.' And though this sounds surprising, it's pretty typical of the franchise since last year’s game had a whopping install requirement of 152 GB.

NBA 2K24 Promises An Authentic, Next-Gen Experience
NBA 2K24 is set to have a more focused Career mode which will allow players to focus on the most important games based on matchups, rival teams and milestones. There are several game modes available including MyTEAM and MyNBA.
The file size is considerably large as compared to sporting games such as Madden NFL 24 which only needed 50 GB, FIFA 24 which needed 55 GB or WWE 2K23 which needed 80 GB of space on PC. Although NBA 2K24 does promise an enhanced state-of-the-art gameplay. Although details on the core story are sparse, 2K Games has teased a new functionality called PROPlay that lets players transmit real-life NBA footage into gameplay directly, so the movements in the game closely resemble on-court action.
2K Games has also confirmed that NBA 2K24 upcoming entry is finally moving to cross-play which will allow PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S owners to compete against one another worldwide, via casual pick-up games, online tournaments, or co-op matches. NBA 2K24 is available for pre-order from the 2K Store, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and other outlets at roughly $69.99 for the standard edition.
