Fable, the new game by Playground Studios finally gets a trailer in the Xbox showcase and features Richard Ayoade

<p>&nbsp;</p><p>A trailer for the new Fable instalment has finally been unveiled at the Xbox Showcase. The 2:07-minute trailer features Richard Ayoade as a narrator-like character called Dave and also features real-time in-game footage. Ayoade's character introduces a land filled with heroes and monsters. The game, simply titled Fable is reportedly a reboot of the popular role-playing game that was originally developed by Lionhead Studios.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The game's original developer Lionhead, was shut down by Microsoft in 2016. Though the production of the RPG looks slick, it features little to no gameplay which leaves much room for anticipation. Fable games are famed for their world-building and the camaraderie between characters. In the past fans have been able to engage in realistic quests and side quests such as buying property or forming friendships and bonds.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Though the announcement doesn't reveal a release date, fans have speculated that the game will be released sometime in 2024. Playground Games revealed their plans for a reboot around two years ago. She is shown playing a poker game at an underworld saloon where she is attacked by some droids. The franchise has been paving the way for stories around rebels who are forced to live under the thumb of the Galactic Empire and must claw their way out. In the open-world game, players could assume the role of Sakai who's a samurai on a quest to protect Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. <p>&nbsp;</p><p>Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption has received a new rating in Korea, which has sparked rumours that a remaster is on the way. &nbsp;As spotted by Idle Sloth on Twitter, South Korea's Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) had listed something titled "Red Dead Redemption" earlier in June.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The new rating on the Korean rating board grac.or.kr has the classification number “CC-NV-230615-001″, with the “NV” in the number which is reserved for console games (In Korean game ratings, “NV” refers to console games, while “NP” refers to PC games). Red Dead Redemption first launched on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 18, 2010. Rockstar could be planning to announce it for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Interestingly, The South Korean rating board has been the source of many gaming leaks in the past. A few years ago GRAC listed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remaster ahead of its official announcement and God of War: Ragnarok was also listed six months before its launch in 2022.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Fans are also keen to know whether the new outing will be a remake rather than a remaster since Rockstar has had a difficult history with remakes especially when it comes to older games. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy, for instance, was panned by fans for its subpar quality and also faced fan ire since the box version didn’t come with physical maps or manuals that used to be a standard for GTA. As of now, there has been no response from Rockstar Games over the fate of Red Dead Redemption; but then, the studio is famed for keeping big announcements under wraps.&nbsp;</p>

Eagle-eyed fans may have potentially spotted hints of a Red Dead Redemption remaster via the Korean ratings board.

<p>&nbsp;</p><p>Bungie has reportedly ramped up hiring for Destiny mobile game, a first-person shooter game that has been in development for more than two years. Leaker and data miner Sarge just shared on Twitter that Bungie is hiring internal testers, graphical engineers and other key positions for Destiny. The update also mentioned that this game would be a standalone title and not related to Destiny 2 which has also been in the works.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>In 2022, Bungie filed six patent applications related to virtual controllers, similar to those featured in several popular mobile games, with emulated buttons and control sticks. But the company has other&nbsp;highly successful titles as well.<br>&nbsp;</p><p>Destiny was released worldwide in 2014, for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One consoles and was actually Bungie's first new console franchise since the Halo series. Set in a mythological science fiction world, the game features a shared-world environment with role-playing elements. Activities in Destiny are divided among player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) categories.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>In related news, the Senior narrative designer at Bungie revealed the&nbsp;last voice line recorded for Commander Zavala by Lance Reddick, a fan favourite who passed away in March this year. According to Robert Brooks, those were the final lines he recorded with Lance Reddick. But they were not Zavala's final words since the character will have lines in the upcoming seasons and The Final Shape.</p>

<p>The Last of Us Part 2 might be getting a re-release native to PS5, &nbsp;to go along with the remake of the first game, according to the game’s composer Gustavo Santaolalla who may have accidentally let slip some details.</p><p>In a Spanish interview, the interviewer tells Gustavo about how he liked seeing him appear in The Last of Us Part II. The composer replied saying that in the new version, players can actually go up to him and ask him to play certain songs. He then stops and says that he can’t say anything else. The Last of Us Part II hasn't yet released a definitive PS5 version of the game but the PS4 version runs of 60 frames per second on the new console. &nbsp;Although many fans feel that remastering is unnecessary since the PlayStation 4 remaster works fine on the PlayStation 5.</p><h2>Major Shakeup At Naughty Dog As Co-President Retires</h2><p>&nbsp;</p><p><img src="https://d2dgkt5728m0bd.cloudfront.net/Untitled_design_30_5bf1d9b21b.png" alt="Naughty Dog Evan Wells"></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The Last of Us has a multiplayer spin-off in the making, and a possible threequel in the works as well. The developer Naughty Dog has already started work on the next game but there are conflicting reports on whether it’s The Last Of Us Part 3. Recently, Naughty Dog announced that their Co-President, Evan Wells, who served as Executive Producer of the HBO adaptation of the show, will be retiring after 25 years. Neil Druckmann is set to take charge of the studio. Druckman is not just the co-creator of the show but is also involved in the development of Uncharted 4 as Game Director and Executive Producer on The Last of Us HBO Series.&nbsp;</p><p>Druckmann led the development of The Last of Us (2013) as a writer and creative director, roles also for The Last of Us: Left Behind (2014) and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (2016), which he co-wrote with Josh Scherr. Druckmann was promoted to vice president of Naughty Dog in 2018 and was promoted to co-president in 2020.</p>

While the game hasn't been out long enough to warrant a remaster, Naughty Dog could be remastering The Last of Us Part II for PS5.
