Apple will finally be taking the wraps off of its much-anticipated iPhone 16 series today (Sept 9). The event, themed “It’s Glow time,” will introduce the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Apple fans across the globe will be able to watch all the action through a livestream directly from Apple Park, Cupertino, California.
The iPhone 16 launch event is scheduled to kick off at 10 AM PT (Pacific Time). For fans in India, the event will start at 10:30 PM IST. Users will be able to watch the entire event unfold live on various platforms, including Apple.com, YouTube, and the Apple TV app.
The highlight of the event will surely be the iPhone 16 series. The tagline “It’s Glow time” hints at the company’s focus on new AI-driven features, likely powered by the upgraded A18 chip, which is said to bring a serious boost to performance. This chip is said to be built around Arm’s V9 architecture, a tech previously seen in the M4 silicon that powers Apple’s iPad Pro.

iPhone 16 Pro And Pro Max Under The Hood
One of the biggest updates to look forward to is AI-powered Siri enhancements, marking the first iPhones built from the ground up to use AI. However, some reports have hinted that marquee features like Image Playground and Genmoji may not make it into this release.
While hardware updates are said to be mostly incremental, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models will likely receive camera upgrades and a new capacitive capture button, making it easy to capture images and videos instantly. The Pro models are also said to come with a larger screen (6.3- and 6.9-inch respectively), offering users a more immersive experience.
Speaking of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, Apple is said to add 8GB of RAM by default and bring several features previously exclusive to the Pro models. One such feature could be the Action button, which enables users to customize shortcuts, upgrading user control.

Apple Watch Series 10 Could Pack Sleep Apnea Detection
Rumors hint that Apple could launch three new models of Apple Watch. Traditionally, it is the ‘regular’ Apple Watch, which has been the company’s most popular and preferred over the Watch Ultra.
As per a report from Bloomberg, Watch Series 10 could come with a sleep apnea detection feature for the first time. Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder where breathing stops and starts repeatedly during sleep. This could be a cause for snoring, gasping, and feeling tired during the day. It’s often caused due to throat muscles relaxing too much, blocking the airway.
