After introducing Meta AI in WhatsApp, it seems like the service will enable Meta AI to edit and reply to images. WhatsApp is said to be working on introducing a feature to allow the AI to reply to photos and edit them.
The new feature will reportedly help get insights about the shared images. The new feature can also allow users to edit the pictures shared. Moreover, WABetaInfo has also shared screenshots of the AI feature, showcasing its capabilities and workings.

Meta AI Gets New Upgrades
According to a report by WABetaInfo, which is a WhatsApp update tracker, the new feature was spotted in WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.14.20. However, the feature is expected not to be made visible in the release, since the feature is still under development.
The report also highlights that WhatsApp is testing the implementation of a new chat button to allow users to manually share photos with Meta AI. The feature is said to be scheduled for release in a future update of the app. With this new capability, users will be able to ask questions about their photos. This can include features such as identifying objects or providing context about a certain picture. For instance, writing a photo story or writing a caption related to a picture.
Moreover, Meta AI will also offer the feature to make changes to images. This will enable users to edit the images directly within the chat by sharing a prompt. This eventually ensures that you can maintain complete control over their photos. Additionally, users will also be able to delete them at any given time.

What Other Updates Are Coming To Meta AI?
As per the report, the level of editing that the AI model can make is not known at the moment. Rumors suggest that Meta AI could support basic edits such as improving lighting, cropping, removing background objects, and much more.
Moreover, it may also offer advanced AI editing such as changing the background and adding more effects, which is pretty similar to what Magic Editor offers in Pixel smartphones. The description of the feature highlights that the photos sent to Meta AI will be analyzed, including facial features.
However, it is unclear whether deleting the image will also delete it from Meta AI’s database. The release date for the features is not known at the moment, WABetaInfo concluded. Currently, users can create an image with the prompt ‘@imagine me’ with Meta AI.
