WhatsApp seems to be getting a bunch of new sticker-related features. In a blog post, the Meta-owned instant messaging platform announced that the latest update will enable users to use stickers from GIPHY and use and create their very own stickers.
As the name suggests, the Custom Sticker Maker tool allows users to “turn your photos into personalized stickers or customize existing ones using the editing tools.” Once users create a sticker, it will be automatically saved in the sticker tray for easy access.

WhatsApp Partners With GIPHY For Stickers
WhatsApp stated that it has joined forces with GIPHY and integrated stickers directly into WhatsApp, enabling users to find and send their favorite stickers without having to leave the app. To use the new GIPHY integration, simply tap on the sticker icon and start searching by tapping in or using an emoji.
Meta also introduced a new “Sticker Organization” feature that will let users quickly preview sticker packs in the sticker tray, which seems just below users’ downloaded stickers.
Users will also be able to customize their sticker tray by tapping and holding a sticker to move it to the top or remove it. If users are unable to find the perfect sticker and share it with their friends and family.

WhatsApp To Add Voice Chats Support For Meta AI
WhatsApp is witnessing a heavy demand for the Meta AI chatbot that will help users create AI-generated images, and get tips and responses for random questions. But soon the Meta AI chatbot will enable users to send voice chat and make it a full-fledged voice assistant in the messaging app.
WhatsApp is testing the feature with a few Android and iOS users on beta for now but users can expect the full rollout to happen in the coming months. This month, a reliable source, WABetaInfo, spotted the option.
The messaging app will have a feature of Ask Meta AI anything that is most likely getting activated using a wake word that users tend to use for Google Assistant or Siri on smartphones.
This seems like a big change from the current setup where users can only send text prompts to get the images created or help summarise articles. Getting all these features in voice will help several users sign up for the AI chatbot from Meta without needing to log in or create a separate account to use these tools.
