WhatsApp seems to have updated its design for both iOS and Android apps. The popular messaging started rolling out the new look for users in a phased-out manner. The new look aims to provide users with a more up-to-date and easier-to-use experience. So what has changed with the app?

One of the biggest changes that has been made to the app is the enhancement of dark mode, which now comes with a darker background to enhance text readability. Similarly, the light mode has been enhanced with additional white space, making for a refreshed look and better usability.

When it comes to the color scheme, the app now offers a new shade of green to fit perfectly with the brand’s identity. Moreover, the utilization of color has been chosen strategically to draw attention to certain elements on the screen, making sure of a more focused user experience.

WhatsApp Brings Notable Changes To The App

Icon and button designs have also witnessed a design change, with alterations in shape and color, contributing to a mode visually pleasing interface. Moreover, certain sections of the app have been spaced out to enhance overall readability and navigation. In the “Chats” tab, users can see the WhatsApp logo, providing a distinct visual cue within the UI.

Besides, Android users will notice the navigation tabs which were previously positioned at the top of the screen have been relocated to the bottom for easier access. Another change in the relocation of the search bar, which is now fixed at the top of the “Chats” tab, upgrades the visibility and accessibility for users looking for specific conversations.

It’s important to note that the new update will be rolled out to all WhatsApp users in a phased-out manner and it’s not optional, which means users cannot skip the update. The new design showcases the company’s commitment to evolving its platform to meet the evolving needs and preferences of its huge user base.
