Sony Might Have Confirmed The PS5 Pro Design
Sony is celebrating 30 years of PlayStation and it looks like it has also confirmed a PS5 Pro design leak in the process. A blog post recently included a 30th-anniversary image, and some keen observers have spotted a suspicious-looking PS5 design in the montage that appears identical to the PS5 leak from a week ago.
Dealabs reported last week that it had seen retail packaging for the PS5 Pro and created a sketch that suggested three black stripes on the exterior of the console in the middle. Those three black strips are clearly visible in the company’s montage image, looking similar to Adidas’ logo and unlike the stripe seen on the PS5. In fact, the existing PS5 model is also visible in the montage, with a single stripe in the middle.
Dealabs said it was expecting an announcement during the first half of September, but it seems no one expected it would come in the form of a teaser image from the company. The official PlayStation account on Instagram even posted the image with a “Your first look” link.
It’s been known for months that the PS5 Pro is real and that developers have been readying titles for the new console. A source familiar with the company’s plans for PS5 Pro told The Verge that all games released on or after September 16 are required to support the PS5 Pro, which hints that Sony’s official announcement of the upcoming console is around the corner.
