There have been rumors for a while now that Apple could be working on a foldable iPhone and a foldable iMac/iPad hybrid. Now, it looks like both devices might launch in 2026. A report from analyst Jeff Pu spotted by 9to5Mac asserts that both devices will launch in 2026.
Moreover, it’s believed that the foldable iPad/iMac hybrid will launch first, with a pegged release data of Q2 2026. Meanwhile, Pu asserts that the foldable iPhone could launch in late 2026.

When Will Apple Launch Foldable iPhones?
This is not the first time we have been hearing about a foldable iPhone coming in 2026. A leak that surfaced last month pointed to a foldable iPhone launching in 2026 with a clamshell form factor similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. The same leak suggested that Apple’s biggest struggle is eliminating the display crease.
Meanwhile, there have been rumors about a foldable iMac/iPad for a long time as well. So if you like the idea of foldable laptops but wish they ran MacOS or iPadOS, then you should be interested in this product.
Nevertheless, users might not want to hold their breath for these foldable devices just yet. Apple is clearly still in the early stages of development, so it’s very much possible these devices could be canned before a commercial launch.

Apple Intelligence Features Not Coming To IOS 18 At Release
Apple won’t be bringing its new artificial intelligence features, named ‘Apple Intelligence’, with the stable version of iOS 18 and iPadOS updates in September, as per a new Bloomberg report. In fact, the company will release these features as part of the iOS 18.1 update in October, enabling the company to give more time to fix bugs in its latest update.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said that Apple Intelligence features will be made available for software developers to test via the iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 developer beta, which could be released soon.
The report suggests that isn’t something that Apple does, as the company usually reserves its subsequent updates until the first version of the software is released to the general public through a stable build.
If the reports are to be believed, the upcoming iPhone 16 series will come without the new AI features such as voice note summaries, Siri revamp, and ChatGPT integration. Even if Apple Intelligence is rolled out via the iOS 18.1 and iPad 18.1 update, it will not include some of the biggest updates such as the ability to use on-device AI for system-wide use.
