Motorola recently teased the launch of the Razr 50 in India, and now, the company has announced the launch date of the flip-style foldable smartphone. The smartphone will be launched in the country in the second week of September.
The Motorola Razr 50 is said to come with a 3.6-inch external screen. The clamshell foldable was launched in China in June alongside the Moto Razr 50 Ultra. The Motorola Razr 50 was launched in the US with Razr 2024 moniker.
The Indian launch of the smartphone is scheduled for September 9. The Lenovo-owned brand is dropping multiple teasers about the launch of the new foldable phone. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will be up for grabs via Amazon and the e-commerce website has also published a dedicated microsite revealing the launch date, design, and specs of the smartphone.

Motorola Razr 50 Under The Hood
The Indian variant of the Motorola Razr 50 is said to offer a 3.6-inch cover display, which is also touted as the largest external display in the segment. It comes with an IPX8-rated build for water resistance and Gorilla Glass Victus coating on the display. It will also come with Gemini AI capabilities and Moto AI features.
The Motorola Razr 50 was already launched in China with the same name in June, but it is available in US markets as Motorola Razr 2024. In China, the smartphone starts at CNY 3,699 (approx Rs 47,000) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The Indian variant could also be priced similarly.
The smartphone comes with a 6.9-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,640 pixels) pOLED inner display and a 3.6-inch full-HD+ (1,056x1,066 pixels) pOLED cover display. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB storage.
The Moto Razr 50 dual outer camera unit houses a 50MP primary sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera. It comes with a 32MP shooter on the inner display for selfies and video chats. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and carries a 4200mAh battery unit with support for 30W wired and 15W wireless charging support.

Motorola Launches Edge 50 With Military-Grade Certification
Motorola has launched a new smartphone for the Indian consumers. The new smartphone Motorola Edge 50 comes with a MIL-810H rating and has an IP68-rated build. The device joins the company’s Edge 50 series which also includes Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Ultra, and Edge 50 Fusion.
