LG Innotek will continue to be a major provider for the whole initial supply of telephoto camera modules for the iPhone 16 Pro smartphones. As per a report from the media outlet The Elec, the Korean manufacturer received the full order for the first batch of folded-zoom modules, and will also provide the oIS in partnership with Jahwa Electronics.
The first order of telephoto camera modules for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max is "well over half of them,” and some reports are claiming the amount is around 70% of all forecasted sales. The rest will be manufactured in Q4 2024 by Foxconn and Cowell as Apple tries to drive the average cost down.
LG Innotek was the sole provider last year for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Sharp was said to join the mix this year but the Japanese company pulled out, the report added. This year, both the Pro and the Pro Max will get the Tetraprism camera, which has a 5x optical zoom.

iPhone 16 Pro Could Have Darker Black Titanium Color Option
As we inch closer to the launch of Apple’s next flagship smartphone, the iPhone 16 Pro, several leaks and speculations are pouring in at an alarming rate. Now, the launch colors of the iPhones 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max have leaked online. Following the footsteps of a leak relating to the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, the leak suggests three of four Pro colors, including a much darker Black Titanium option.
In recent weeks, smartphone leaks have mostly focused on the Google Pixel 9 series. However, Apple is also prepping to launch new smartphones, which are expected to directly replace the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The company usually distinguishes its Pro and non-Pro iPhones in various aspects, including colors.

What To Expect From iPhone 16 Pro Models
If previous leaks are to be believed, this could be true this year thanks to the launch of different sizes too. Besides, a new leak suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will launch next month with a similar set of colors, unlike the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.
Although the company has not confirmed this directly, a hands-on photo of iPhone 16 Pro Max dummy units has suggested what three of the device’s launch colors could look like. Allegedly, the trio will come in White, Space Black, and Grey, respectively. However, it remains to be seen whether Apple will append ts 'Titanium' branding seen on its current flagship devices.
That said, only the black version appears to be different from its precursor on account of its much deeper hue. A new ‘Rose’ option is said to be introduced alongside these three color options, replacing last year’s 'Blue Titanium' option.
