HP Next-Gen PCs To Offer AI Features And Great Battery

HP likes to call these the “next-gen AI PCs,” as they come packed with on-device gen-AI capabilities, backed by the Hexagon NPU that powers experiences like Paint Cocreator and the upcoming Recall, also known as photographic memory technology with up to 45 trillion operations per second (TOPS). Besides, the company has also incorporated several new AI features such as Spotlight and Auto Framing.

HP claims that the EliteBook Ultra and OmniBook X are capable of delivering up to 26 hours of battery life and these are part of the company’s most sustainable PC portfolio. These laptops also run on the latest version of Windows 11.

In May, Microsoft along with Qualcomm, announced over 20 new Copilot+ branded PCs, which include HP EliteBook Ultra and OmniBook X. As of now, only the Snapdragon X series powered PCs are labeled as Copilot+ PCs, as there aren’t any other chipsets that come with the required hardware to enable various on-device AI experiences.

Due to the strategic agreement between Qualcomm and Microsoft, ARM-based PCs will only be available with the Snapdragon X Elite. Besides, companies like AMD and MediaTek are said to bring their own ARM chips in H2 of 2025.
