No matter if you live in the wild or in a place where the electricity supply is unreliable, power stations can be a great tool. There are several options out there for consumers to pick from, but Asus has introduced one of the most cool-looking ROG power stations at Computex.

Dubbed Asus ROG Mjolnir power station gets its name due to the torch attachment on top of it, making for a design that looks inspired by Thor’s hammer. The power station comes with a substantial 768Wh LiFePO4 battery, and the Taiwanese brand claims it will power a 700W PC for an hour.

People using a laptop can expect a substantially longer run time, featuring wattages below 100W. That said, this capacity exceeds several other power stations out there with respectable batteries.

ROG Mjolnir Features To Check Out

The ROG Mjolnir’s best feature is undoubtedly the Qi 2.0 wireless charging support. This also brings MagSafe support for iPhone users. Either way, this seems to be one of the first power stations that offer Qi 2.0 compatibility. People who do not fancy wireless charging will be happy to know that the power station also supports USB-C charging at up to 100W speeds, thanks to the USB-PD standard.

Once the power station runs out of power, users can charge it using AC power or solar power. It’s unclear what charging speed the power station will use to refuel, but Asus will likely take cues from its competitors and offer zero to 80% charging times when using main power. The company hasn’t mentioned long-term battery health as well.

Sadly, it seems like users might be in for quite a wait. As per an Asus representative, the ROG Mjolnir will likely be launched in early 2025. There’s no word on its pricing as well at the moment.

Asus Announces ROG Zephyrus G16 Gaming Laptop

At Computex, Asus unveiled the ROG Zephyrus G16 (2024) gaming laptop. The new Zephyrus G16 comes packed with features that will cater to both gamers and people seeking productivity.

Asus claims that despite being a powerhouse, the new laptop comes with a sleek and lightweight design, weighing just 1.85 kg. The case is made of high-quality aluminum and offers a customizable light bar on the lid. The laptop offers 32GB of memory and supports the new SD Express 7.9 standard, so users can transfer files from their cameras swiftly. It’s also the first ROG laptop with Wi-Fi 7, which means faster wireless speeds with less lag.

To keep the machine cool, the company has employed liquid metal on the CPU and a fiber-and-mesh heat-pipe system. The tri-fan design, featuring second-gen Arc Flow Fans, promises efficient heat dissipation even during intense gaming sessions.
