Tech giant Apple seems to be prepping to launch its much-anticipated iPhone 16 series at a scheduled event on September 9. The spotlight of this launch is said to be the iPhone 16 Pro Max, positioned as the flagship model in the lineup.
The premium smartphone is said to come packed with the largest display and battery seen on its peers. As we inch closer to the launch, an alleged dummy unit of the iPhone 16 Pro Max has made a cameo, showcasing what seems to be a new ‘Desert Titanium’ color variant. This color is said to be a fresh addition to the company’s palette, though the hue looks different from earlier mock-ups.
In a video shared by the TechBoiler channel on YouTube, viewers are given a sneak peek of what is said to be a dummy version of the iPhone 16 Pro Max in the rumored Desert Titanium shade. Contrary to previous leaks that showed a gold-like tint, this dummy model appears more toward a brownish finish. The design looks similar to the previous Pro models, showcasing a matte back panel complemented by chrome-finished side rails.

Rumors are rife that this new button might serve as a dedicated ‘capture’ function, upgrading the smartphone’s photography capabilities. The rear panel is said to retain the same triple camera setup, accompanied by an LED flash.

On the camera front, the smartphone is said to be equipped with an upgraded 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera, offering higher resolution compared to its precursor. Moreover, it is said to retain the tetraprism telephoto lens that was introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The smartphone will feature a 4,676mAh battery, a slight upgrade from the 4,441mAh battery seen on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
