Apple won’t be bringing its new artificial intelligence features, named ‘Apple Intelligence’, with the stable version of iOS 18 and iPadOS updates in September, as per a new Bloomberg report. In fact, the company will release these features as part of the iOS 18.1 update in October, enabling the company to give more time to fix bugs in its latest update.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said that Apple Intelligence features will be made available for software developers to test via the iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 developer beta, which could be released soon.
The report suggests that isn’t something that Apple does, as the company usually reserves its subsequent updates until the first version of the software is released to the general public through a stable build.

Apple Users Will Have To Wait For AI Features
If the reports are to be believed, the upcoming iPhone 16 series will come without the new AI features such as voice note summaries, Siri revamp, and ChatGPT integration. Even if Apple Intelligence is rolled out via the iOS 18.1 and iPad 18.1 update, it will not include some of the biggest updates such as the ability to use on-device AI for system-wide use.
Gurman also stated that the new iOS 18 features will start rolling out through several iOS 18 updates by the end of this year and the first of next year. Meanwhile, Apple Intelligence will be coming to Mac computers through the macOS Sequoia update.
While the company has confirmed that these advanced AI capabilities will first be available for free to users of compatible devices, reports hint at a possible shift to a subscription-based model in the future. Gurman has previously said that the company could bring a premium tier called "Apple Intelligence+" in the coming days, which could bring exclusive AI features for a monthly fee, similar to its existing subscription services such as iCloud and Apple Music.

IOS 18 Will Let You Recover Corrupt, Deleted Media Files
Apple is reportedly adding a new “Recovered” Photo album to the iPhone’s Photos app with the iOS 18 update. As per a report from 9To5Mac, Apple is rolling out the new feature to the beta version of iOS 18.
This feature will let users see and recover previously damaged or lost images that are still stored on the device’s internal storage. The report stated that the new “Recovered” album will be available on the Photos app for select iPhones, iPads, and Macs that are eligible for the iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia updates.
For devices that have already received the new Photos album, the feature can identify and locate previously lost or damaged media, including both videos and photos. These media files will then be available in the new “Recovered” album, which exists alongside the existing "Recently Deleted" section.
