Apple seems to be gearing up to launch the next-generation MacBook Pro with M4 in October this year. A report by 9To5Mac, citing analyst Ross Young, said that the company will follow a similar release schedule to last year for its new MacBook Pro models.
According to the report, display panel shipments for the 14-inch and 16-inch versions of the next-gen MacBook Pro were scheduled for July and August, falling in line with last year’s timeline. This hints that the company could announce the M4-powered MacBook Pro later this year.
The M4 chip, launched earlier this year with the iPad Pro, comes with an enhanced Neural Engine for improved AI workload management. The new MacBook Pro is said to come in configurations with M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips.

Apple To Launch Several Other Products
Apart from launching the new MacBook Pro, Apple is expected to take the wraps off of several other projects with the new M4 chip this year. The lineup could include the Mac Mini, which is said to be a redesigned version with a smaller size, potentially similar to an Apple TV set-top box. The new Mac mini will reportedly be powered by the M4 chip.
Besides, the iMac will come with some design changes and the 2024 iMac will get the M4 chip upgrade. For next year, Apple is said to update its entire Mac lineup with M4 series chips. The new MacBook Air could come in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes with no major design upgrades. The MacBook Air with M4 is anticipated to launch in Spring 2025.
Mac Studio and Mac Pro are said to receive the M4 chip by mid-2025. the Mac Studio could be downsized, similar to the Mac mini, while the Mac Pro could come with significant design changes and be the first to include the M4 Ultra chip alongside M4 Pro and M4 Max options.

Apple Planning To Launch Cheaper Vision Pro
Apple is reportedly expanding its offerings in the augmented reality and mixed reality markets with plans for new devices. As per recent leaks, the company seems to readying itself to launch a more budget-friendly version of its high-end Vision Pro headset as early as next year.
Moreover, Apple is working on a pair of smart glasses that may become available several years down the line. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in his Power On newsletter, revealed that Apple is dedicated to advancing its headset technology despite the challenges faced with the original Vision Pro.
The company is said to be developing a scaled-back variant of the Vision Pro, which is said to hit the market by 2025. this lower-priced model will likely feature fewer capabilities compared to its more expensive counterpart.
