Freshly leaked court documents concerning the Microsoft-Activision Blizzard KIng merger has revealed Xbox's plans for a console refresh as well as a new controller. The court documents reveal that Xbox is looking at a disc-less version of the Series X with a revamped design, featuring a more circular motif as compared to the standard Xbox Series X. In the FTC vs. Microsoft document, the company unintentionally revealed the newer designed Xbox Series X, codenamed Brooklin, alongside a remodelled controller.

Xbox has Big Plans for 2024, Including a New Xbox Console Refresh and Controller
The documents reveal that Microsoft plans to remodel their Xbox Series X (codenamed Brooklin) according to Microsoft, the Xbox Series X Refresh will be "The most powerful Xbox ever, now adorably all digital."
The console won't have a disc drive and will come with an increased internal storage of 2TB. The Xbox Series X Refresh will get a newer Wi-Fi 6E radio alongside a BT 5.2 radio for an improved accessory experience. Moreover, the latest console will reduce power usage by 15% and features a new low-power standby mode.
Microsoft will launch a new Xbox controller (codenamed Sebile) alongside the newer Xbox Series X. Sebile will have more unique colours and better internals. The upcoming controller will comprise Bluetooth 5.2 connectively, precision haptic feedback alongside VCA haptics double as speakers. Users will also get new mobile app features where they can see all the paired devices and manage them. Sebile will be getting a rechargeable and swappable battery and new modular thumbsticks.
The unfortunate leaks also reveal some pretty interesting insight into Xbox's plans, including boss Phil Spencer's ambitions to acquire fellow gaming juggernaut, Nintendo. It will be interesting to see the fallout from these leaks and how Microsoft-Xbox choose to address the several elephants in the room.
