The Elder Scrolls VI is officially not coming to PlayStation 5 upon its launch. Most fans took the information from an official Microsoft chart documentation presented against Bethesda at a court that also included additional news on the title's future.
In the official chart presented by the FTC at the held court, the documentation showed that titles like Elder Scrolls VI, Redfall, and Starfield would not come to PlayStation at all.
The same FTC chart also indicates that the title targets a 2026 release window or later. This can be mainly due to the vast development process of the title, given that TER VI will possibly share a massive world compared to Skyrim and the previous Elder Scrolls games.

The Elder Scrolls is one of the most popular gaming franchises in the history of the medium and shares a massive player base across multiple platforms. The news of the next Elder Scrolls not coming to PlayStation has been met with a massive outcry from PlayStation fans and console owners. It is highly likely that the game will follow suit with titles like Starfield with a release on Xbox consoles as well as PC (via Steam and Game Pass).
According to an X/Twitter post by Stephen Totilo from Axios, Microsoft, during the FTC case regarding the controversial Activision merger, The Elder Scrolls VI is only coming to Xbox and PC. The chart clearly shows a red cross under the PlayStation release section for The Elder Scrolls VI. The same FTC chart also indicates that the title targets a 2026 release window or later. This can be mainly due to the vast development process of the title, given that TER VI will possibly share a massive world compared to Skyrim and the previous Elder Scrolls games. However, the lack of a release date since its announcement six years back is still a mystery.
The Elder Scrolls VI is quite possibly one of the most highly-anticipated releases of all-time, which brings a certain level of pressure and expectations. Bethesda's latest release, Starfield, has gotten off to a decent start with a majorly positive reception from critics and fans.
