Valorant Console: Is it Crossplay?

Before the arrival of Valorant Mobile, Riot Games announced the Valorant Console at the Summer Game Fest earlier in June. Riot Games released the Valorant Limited Beta across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 14 June 2024. Valorant Limited Beta is live in North America, Europe, and Japan.

After Riot Games announced Valorant for consoles, fans were confused about whether they could crossplay across consoles and PCs and the new terms like cross-progression and cross-inventory. Here is a quick rundown of what these terms mean and whether console and PC players play the game together or not.

Valorant PC And Console Supports Cross-Progression and Cross-Inventory But Does Not Support Crossplay

Players with PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S can register for the Valorant Limited Beta and join the waitlist. Currently, the beta is live in North America, Europe, and Japan, and Riot Games will slowly expand it in the future. If a player has access to Valorant on their console, they can play with their console friends but won’t be able to play with or against PC players. Valorant supports crossplay across consoles, which means PlayStation and Xbox players can play with each other.

Valorant players can use their PC accounts on consoles, and they can complete their daily and weekly missions on both their PC and consoles, and progress without any platform restrictions. Alongside the missions, players will share the Battlepass progress and Kingdom credits earned on both platforms. Players with access to Valorant on the console will have different ranks and MMR for the console and PC.  

Valorant players will also have shared inventory or support cross-inventory across PCs and consoles. If a player buys a new skin on their PC, they can access it on their console as well, and all the agents unlocked on that account will be available on both platforms.
