Earlier, Ubisoft teased their upcoming free-to-play FPS game XDefiant. Following a series of Public Tests, it appears Ubisoft would like for the game to spend more time in development as the publisher has announced yet another delay.
According to Ubisoft, the Beta test helped expose a few in-game issues, which need to be worked on. The publisher has confirmed that the game will be set for a "preseason" launch as soon as the bugs and issues with the game are addressed.

XDefiant Runs Into Trouble Again After Glaring Issues Surface in Public Test
Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent Public Test Session and continues to stand alongside us as we build XDefiant. The PTS once again showed us your appreciation for our fast-paced gunplay, uniquely crafted maps, objective-driven modes, and iconic Faction roster. But it also surfaced some inconsistencies in the game experience that we need to address prior to launching our Preseason," read the official statement. "So we’ve made the hard decision to delay the Preseason of XDefiant. The team will continue working to address these issues and testing them to make sure we deliver on our goal of being a best-in-class arcade shooter. We will share more information about Preseason and testing as it comes. Thanks again for your support – we’re working hard to make something really special and we couldn’t do it without you.
Previously, the XDefiant launch was scheduled for October which might not have played out in the favor of Ubisoft. In a way, the delay might turn out to be a blessing which will not only help the game to have a proper launch but also an effective launch. Although there are no details on the next possible launch window of the game, Ubisoft will likely take some time before launching it to ensure the gaming community gets to welcome its latest addition to the FPS market, in a proper fashion.
