Indus Battle Royale had its first-ever Esports Tournament with a 10,00,000 INR prize pool after crossing 7 million pre-registrations. The tournament ended with Reckoning Esports taking the trophy home alongside a massive prize of 5 lakh rupees. Not only did the Indian team become the first roster to be crowned as the champions of the first Indus Royale playtest tournament, but as well as leading on with a new future for the battle royale title.
SuperGaming SG has shown their utmost dedication in hosting the playtest tournament inviting several other teams to the stage as they all delivered a phenomenal performance for gamers. Being a fairly new title in the market, Indus Battle Royale still has a long way to go.

Reckoning Esports Crowned Champions of the Indus Esports Invitational Tournament
The Indus Esports Invitational event was the first-ever official Indus event for the made-in-India battle royale game developed by SuperGaming SG. The developers scheduled the event for October 28, 2023, inviting several professional teams to compete as they fight for a lion's share of the prize pool of 10,00,000 INR.
Reckoning Esports, alongside five other rosters, were also part of the tournament. That said, Reckoning displayed a valiant performance, as they were crowned the Champions of the Playtest Tournament on October 29, 2023. Upon winning the tournament, the team thanked the developers on their official Instagram and Twitter/X handle for the invitation and their interest in being a part of the playtest invitational.
Other Teams That Competed in the Indus Masters of Battle Royale Playtest Invitational
Aside from Reckoning Esports, five other Indian rosters were also invited to the Playtest Tournament. The teams are as follows:
- Orangutan
- Godlike Esports
- Team 8bit
- Global Esports
- Enigma Gaming
While the winners of the tournament took home a large share of ₹ 5,00,000, the runners-up of the event had a prize share of ₹ 2,50,000, with the third and fourth-place getting ₹ 1,00,000, and ₹ 50,000 respectively. Moreover, the most valuable player (MVP) of the event also received ₹ 1,00,000 by SuperGaming SG.
The tournament incorporated a brilliant showcase of Indis Battle Royale titles as the developers included the new Virlok map for the event. Gamers also witnessed their favorite professionals playing with improved control and balanced gameplay promised by developers a few months ago during the title's announcement.
With Reckoning Esports taking the crown for the Playtest Invitational Champions, it is yet to see what the future holds for the made-in-India battle royale, Indus.
