Indus Esports Invitational Starts October 28: All You Need To Know

The Indus Esports Invitational is the first-ever official esports event for the made-in-India battle royale game Indus. The pre-release tournament is scheduled for October 28, 2023. SuperGaming, the award-winning Pune-based video game developer, is behind the 'Indo-Futuristic' battle royale game which is currently available for pre-registration on Google Play for Android and will be available on mobile, PC, and consoles. Over 7 million people have already pre-registered for the game. 

 

Some of the greatest stars and biggest organisations in the Indian esports industry will compete in this esports competition which will take place on 28 October 2023. With a prize pool of INR 10 Lacs, the Indus Esports Invitational has invited a total of six professional teams to compete. In addition to these teams, the competition will also feature Indus content creators, community members, and prior playtest winners.

SuperGaming Announces Indus Invitational Tournament With Six Invited Teams

 

 

Several teams that are established in other esports titles have been invited to compete in the Indus Esports Invitational for a shot at the Rs 10,00,000 prize pool. Specifically, SuperGaming has extended invitations to six esports teams to compete in the upcoming tournament, aiming to better understand their requirements and standards for an esports-ready game before a full release. SuperGaming's Co-founder and CEO, Roby John thanked the community for its response to the Indus battle royale:

"We’re thankful for the community’s response to Indus. Since our last community playtest in our studio, we feel we’re ready to see how the game performs in competitive environments featuring India’s best teams. We’re grateful for their support in building India’s most ambitious battle royale to date."

 

The Indus Esports Invitational tournament will feature the following teams:

  • Orangutan
  • Godlike Esports
  • Team 8bit
  • Global Esports
  • Enigma Gaming
  • Reckoning Esports
     

The winners will take home Rs. 5,00,000, while the runners-up, third-place, and fourth-place winners will take home Rs. 2,50,000, Rs. 1,00,000, and Rs. 50,000, respectively. Aside from these prizes, the Most Valuable Player will receive an award of Rs. 1,00,000 from the event.

 

The latest version of Indus Battle Royale will be played for the event, featuring the entire Virlok map, enhanced control schemes, improved design, visuals, and animations. SuperGaming has made the game available for public testing for the fifth time so far with the full Indus Battle Royale release pegged for early 2024. 

 

 

SuperGaming is extending an invitation to its followers to take part in the inaugural Indus esports competition. Players get a rare chance to provide feedback and shape the future of SuperGaming's most ambitious effort during the event. Players can watch the event live and communicate with the developers during the tournament on the Indus Discord server. Fans should make sure to join Discord at the earliest because there are only a limited number of spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
