Call of Duty Added To PS Plus Amid Microsoft x Activision Trial
Sony confirmed the new additions on the PlayStation Blog on Wednesday and also confirmed that PS Plus members have until July 3 to add June's free games to their library. The most interesting title on PlayStation Plus July lineup is definitely Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War as the franchise is a hot topic at the ongoing FTC vs Microsoft trial. Microsoft's Phil Spencer has repeatedly assured legislators that he would “100%” commit to keeping Call of Duty on Sony’s gaming platforms, even offering a 10-year deal to the Japanese company. Here's a look at all the titles in the catalog this month.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War immerses players in the Cold War by letting them assume the role of a CIA agent who is part of a secret team. They're faced with historical figures of the USSR, as well as fictional characters like Perseus, a mysterious Soviet spy.
Alan Wake Remastered is a touched-up version of 2010's Alan Wake. The game tells the story of Alan Wake, a best-selling author who has writer’s block and goes to the small town of Bright Falls with his wife, Alice. However, Alan finds himself in a nightmare straight from his own books when his wife disappears. The game has two story extensions, The Signal and The Writer, that follow Alan’s adventure. Alan Wake 2 has a release date of October 17 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox X Series, and Xbox Series S.
Endling: Extinction is Forever launched a year ago on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Eventually, the game arrived for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in November. In the 3D side-scroller, players follow the story of a mother fox who is the last of her species and has to protect her three cubs from a near-apocalyptic world.
