New Valorant Agent 'Iso' Announced: Official Trailer, Leaked Abilities, and More Details on the Chinese Agent

Valorant has officially revealed the upcoming Duelist, Iso. A new story trailer has introduced the character to fans, showcasing his various abilities and powers that can be used in-game. Riot Games has also shed some light on Iso's arrival before the trailer debuted on their official Twitter/X handle where they consistently posted more information on the Agent's background, story, and character. On October 19, Riot finally revealed Iso to gamers, delivering a strong cinematic trailer.

Who is Iso in Valorant and What Are His Abilities?

Agent 24, officially known as Iso, is the seventh Duelist coming to Valorant. Iso will be joining the Duelist class after Neon. During the reveal of the first official teaser in September 2023, Riot mentioned that a new Duelist is necessary for the roster as Neon was the latest in the class who debuted two years ago.

At the time, very little information was available regarding Iso's background. However, the official reveal has confirmed that the Agent has Chinese roots and has a deep lore connection with characters like Omen. An official tweet alongside the recent Agent trailer from October 18 confirms the connection. As shown in the trailer, Iso will become a powerful Duelist addition who can utilize his kit of various abilities, including bending time and space.

Iso's Abilities Explained

​While Riot hasn't officially posted the abilities, prominent leaker and data miner Mike, who also goes by @ValorLeaks on Twitter/X has shared some credible insight on Iso's kit. In the past, his leaks have made it to the game on countless occasions. According to the leaked posts, Iso's abilities are as follows:

Contingency (C) - 250 - 1 Charge Max

The Ability description reads: "EQUIP to assemble prismatic energy. FIRE to push an indestructible wall of energy forward that blocks bullets."

Undercut (Q) - 200 - 2 Charges Max

The Ability description reads: "EQUIP a molecular bolt. Fire to throw it forward, applying a brief FRAGILE to all players it touches. The bolt can pass through solid objects, including walls"

Double Tap (E) - 150 - 1 Base Charge, 2 Max

The Ability description reads: "START a focus timer. Once completed, enter a flow state during which downed enemies you kill or damage generate an energy orb. Shooting this orb grants you a shield that absorbs one instance of damage from any source."

Kill Contract (X) - 7 Ultimate Points

The Ability description reads: "EQUIP an interdimensional arena. FIRE to hurl a column of energy through the battlefield, pulling you and the first enemy hit into the arena. You and your opponent duel to the death."

When Will Iso Launch in Valorant?

According to Riot's official post on Twitter/X, Iso will join the Agent roster at the beginning of Episode 7 Act 3. The Agent will bring his kit of special abilities to the Duelist class allowing one to switch up the meta in future Acts.
