  • Xbox Game Pass's September calendar is choc-a-block with new releases, including the biggie, Starfield

  • Game Pass is also dropping Recreate Games's multi-player Party Animals and the heist game Payday 3

  • Another new title to watch out for on Game Pass would be Cocoon 3 which brings a host of cosmic puzzles

Xbox Game Pass just added two stunning games as August drew to a close. The turn-based RPG Sea of Stars was released on August 29 and the open-world fishing game Call of the Wild: The Angler was released on Game Pass on August 30. In September Game Pass is reportedly promising a a series of new titles. According to Pure Xbox, an English Xbox-focused news portal, Game Pass is set to release six new games. The biggest Xbox release of the month is, of course, Starfield which is set to release officially on September 6 on PC, Xbox Series consoles, and Game Pass. However, those who have early access can probably get their hands on it sooner. The different time zones and the multiple editions also make things complicated vis-a-vis release.

Pop band Imagine Dragons has released an official song for Starfield, titled Children of the Sky (a Starfield song), which includes iconic elements from the Main Theme and the Starfield orchestral treatment, according to Starfield composer Inon Zur. Starfield is one of the most anticipated titles of the year. This is Bethesda’s first big single-player RPG since Fallout 4 and it can take players over 50 hours just to get through the main quest. The Standard edition costs $70, the Premium edition costs $100, the Upgraded Game Pass Premium edition is priced at $30, and the Constellation edition costs $250 (Premium or Constellation edition owners will be able to play Starfield five days before its official release).

"The golden retriever in the game is my other dog, MaoMao, who’s already 14 years old,” says the Recreate Games head, who's known as PM. “As we developed the game’s characters, more pets from our team members’ homes joined the cast. When we create these characters, we pour our love for animals into them.” The studio has even adopted a number of local stray cats: “When we take breaks from work, we often visit the pet room for a bit of inspiration,” says PM.

It offers eight unique heists at launch and the Season Pass delivers four extra heists, Tailor Packs and Weapon Packs (set to drop within the first six months).
