The Game Awards 2023 is currently underway and the games that contribute to the huge esports ecosystem around the world were also honored at the event. Besides Esports, the Games Awards 2023 will also be hosting an array of world premiers of games that will hit the market in the coming year and will also be celebrating the best of the best games that have launched in 2023 across various categories.

Introduced last year, the Esports Awards category looks to honor the outstanding events and players who made this year extremely memorable for audiences at home. From the best Esports athlete in 2023 to the Best Esports team, Games Awards 2023 has tried to honor every aspect of Esports that made each event extremely successful. Here is what the list of winners looks like along with the category they won in.

• Best Esports Team: JD Gaming

This is the second time in 2023 that Faker, Potter, and Valorant are being awarded as the best athlete, coach, and game, respectively. Earlier this month they were lauded as the best in the same categories at the Esports Awards 2023, which is a separate ceremony to celebrate the creme de la creme in the world of Esports.

Since its launch, Valorant has been one of the fastest-growing esports games with Riot Games fostering the growth of the ecosystem across multiple regions. Esports Athlete of the Year, and arguably the greatest League of Legends player of all time, Faker has been one of the most loved athletes in the world. The legacy the South Korean is leaving behind him is currently unmatched with four Worlds titles under his belt.
