BGMI Update 2.9: Expected New Features, Themes, and More

BGMI's new update, the 2.9 update will be introduced in the game tomorrow, that is, November 29, 2023, and the update will come with a new winter theme and a new mode that will have newer challenges for the players. With the leaks that are available for the players online, a glimpse of a new snow mode is likely to make its way into the game along with the return of all winter-themed gun skins.

BGMI 2.9 Update New Features

In a new post uploaded on Instagram, Krafton has revealed that the new update will be making its way into the game, and the old mode is now unavailable in the game. The post shows BGMI creators, Payal Gaming and Joker Ki Haveli waiting for the game in the most dramatic way. This has raised the level of excitement that the players have for the new update. Here is what the players can expect from the new 2.9 update. 

Frozen Kingdom Mode In BGMI

Since this update is close to the winter season, the update will be a winter-themed one, named as the Frozen Kingdom Mode. Players will get to experience a Snowy Village with various terrains, snow-covered landscapes and hidden areas in the game, which will make for the best tricks to get more finishes in the game mode. The area will be a high-loot area and an automatic respawn card will also be given to the players who drop in the Snow Village area. 

The highest peaks of Erangel will be the key area for this theme and the players will be able to get all the festive vibes in this area. A new interactive Christmas tree and even a Santa Claus will be added to the game as a part of the theme. 

BGMI New Mode Weapon: Snowblaster Gun

Each update comes with a new gun, most likely to be unique to the mode that gets introduced. With the snow-themed mode coming in the BGMI 2.9 update, players will get to enjoy the Snowblaster Gun, which can be used in the game but is most likely to be found within the event area of the game. Interestingly, the gun releases snow instead of firing bullets. This gun is a must for pushing buildings that are covered with windows because it will block the window and subsequently the enemy's vision and pushing a squad of enemies will become easier. 

This gun can also help the players build temporary bridges across small water bodies to cross them. This bridge is likely to be time-based to imitate snow eventually melting on water. 

In addition to this, players will also get to see a full auto-mode attachment getting introduced for all DMRs. This attachment will be similar to the one that most players use for M16A4 to convert its burst into auto mode. 

Last, but definitely the most interesting feature of this mode is the introduction of a new garage where players can request a vehicle for their squad. Players need to keep in mind that they can only get UAZ, Dacia, Coupe RB or Mirado (Open top) from this garage. Other interesting modes of transport in the mode will be Snowboards, Reindeer and Sledge. 

BGMI 2.9 Update Release Date And Patch Notes

With the previous mode now unavailable in the game, the players will be able to get the new update on November 29, 2023. Since the game hits a reset at 5:30 AM, players will be able to update the game then and enjoy the update.
