As the Valorant 2023 season comes to a close, Riot Games has announced the OFF//Season tournament "Convergence 2023" in partnership with The Esports Club. In Convergence 2023, five Valorant partnered teams from three different regions and one team from the India Closed Qualifiers will meet each other in Bangalore, India for the final battle. The Convergence 2023: India Closed Qualifiers began on 30 November 2023 and the grand final winner will advance to the Main Event that will take place from 14 December 2023 to 17 December 2023. 

 

After the India Closed Qualifiers, the winning team will join the invited teams in Bangalore. The Convergence 2023 Main Event will start on 14 December 2023 at Manpho Convention Centre, Bangalore, which also hosted the S8UL Gaming Festival 2023. Convergence 2023 By Riot Games And The Esports Club: All You Need To Know

 

 

Convergence 2023 is an official Valorant OFF//Season event hosted by Riot Games in collaboration with The Esports Club. The main event of Convergence 2023 will be a Valorant LAN, scheduled from 14 December 2023 to 17 December 2023. All the teams will fight for the lion's share of the $50,000 prize pool. The invited teams for the Convergence 2023 are: 

 

  • FURIA (Brazil)
  • Global Esports (India)
  • GenG (South Korea)
  • Team Vitality (Europe)
  • FUT Esports (Turkey)

 

Vamsi Krishna, the Founder and Managing Director of The Esports Club (TEC), expressed his excitement about hosting the event:

 

We are excited to partner with Riot Games to introduce their  first ever international VALORANT tournament to the gaming community in India. This event will not only enhance the esports experiences in the country but also elevate India's presence on the global gaming stage.

 

 

The main event will feature a sixth team from the India Closed Qualifiers. The closed qualifiers are scheduled from 30 November 2023 to 03 December 2023. In the India Closed Qualifiers, six invited teams will play for the final slot of the Convergence 2023 Main Event. Here are the six teams playing in the India Closed Qualifiers:

 

  • True Rippers (Higher Seed)
  • Reckoning Esports (Higher Seed)
  • Medal Esports
  • Grayfox Esports
  • Downfall Esports
  • Team Respect

 

All the games will be best-of-three matchups barring the grand final. The grand final of the India Closed Qualifiers will take place on 03 December 2023 and will be a best-of-five game.
