A few months ago, Ice Universe reported that the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra will come packed with a 200MP telephoto camera. Now, Weibo tipsters are providing more details on that camera, which will be exclusive to the Ultra -- the vanilla and Pro models will have to settle for 50MP 3x cameras, based on what the reports have suggested so far.
The Ultra camera will pack a 100mm lens, which works out around 4.3x magnification. The lens will come with an f/2.6 aperture. For comparison, the 14 Ultra had a 50MP 120mm periscope (5x) with an f/2.5 lens.

What To Expect from Xiaomi 15 Ultra
It’s imperative to note that the Ultra 15 is said to come with two telephoto cameras - the 200MP module will be highlighted, but the phone will also have the same 50MP 3x module as the other two 15-series phones. All three will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 with improved ISP and NPU for image processing.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is said to launch at a separate event from the other Xiaomi 15 models -- that was the case with the 14-series too. However, this time there will be less of a gap as the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro are said to come later this month and the 15 Ultra could come in January.
Besides, Xiaomi is expected to launch its upcoming Pad 7 series tablet in China later this month, likely starting with two models: the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro. The Pad 7 Pro could be Xiaomi’s first tablet to sport an OLED display, though it may not offer top-tier performance, as it is said to come with a sub-flagship chip, possibly the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra Under The Hood
Given the “Ultra” moniker, Xiaomi is said to come packed with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, or possibly the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Moreover, a previous report has hinted that the Redmi gaming tablet will also feature a Snapdragon 8-series chip. Smart Pikachu, however, did talk about both the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra and the Redmi gaming tablet that will launch early next year.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro are said to launch alongside the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro. It’s likely that the Pad 7 Ultra and Redmi gaming tablet could launch with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which is also scheduled for early next year.
As of now, there’s not much information available about either the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra or the Redmi gaming tablet. Let’s hope more details will appear in upcoming reports.
