WhatsApp seems to be working on making it easier for users to join calls on the app. This feature makes the process of creating and sharing call links easy, making it easy for others to join voice or video calls with just one tap, all from within the calls tab. The popular messaging app plans to add a call link-sharing feature to only group chats for now.
According to WABetaInfp, the option to create a call link will be available with the other options to attach a photo or document. It is clear that WhatsApp is looking to imply this new feature to further enhance the user experience.
The new feature will let group members start a call without automatically ringing all participants, giving them the freedom to join when it’s convenient for them, and making group calls more flexible and hassle-free. As of now, the app rings every member of the group, but it seems like this will stop soon.

When Will WhatsApp Bring This Feature To The App
Although WhatsApp has offered call links for the past two years, the upcoming update will upgrade this feature by enabling users to generate and share links directly within group conversations, making the process more convenient. It is said that this shortcut feature will simplify the process, making it more efficient and user-friendly.
Once a user shares a link, other members will quickly be able to send it to the group and other members can tap to join without the need for a group-wide ring notification. This new feature can come in handy for large groups with global members, as it lets them join calls flexibly, considering different time zones and availability, making the coordination easy. It’s imperative to note that the feature is still at a nascent stage and will take some time to show in future updates.
