Valve has officially confirmed another wave of CS2 Limited Test invites following the Counter-Strike 2 Premier update. On September 1, 2023, Valve announced a new CS2 Limited Test session update that expanded the invites for all eligible Counter-Strike players. CS:GO Players who did not partake in the invitation either did not meet the eligibility list or failed to accept the invite.
As of this morning, Valve has officially sent another wave of invites for the CS2 Limited Test before its official launch. Fans who missed the invite or were not eligible during the first wave of expanded invites can now get their hands on CS2. The official Valve post did not mention how long the invites will be up for; however, one can expect them to last until the end of September, around the speculated launch date of CS2.

Valve Officially Confirms Another Wave for Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test Invites
Players who successfully accept the invite for the CS2 Limited Test can enjoy the ongoing Premier mode alongside game modes such as Casual and Practice. As of now, the Limited Test session does not have Competitive matchmaking. However, fans enjoying the Premier mode can unlock a Skill Rating, a rating system added to the game with the September 1 update.
Counter-Strike 2 also brought many changes with the Premier update, such as the maximum-rounds 12 match length and per-map Skill Groups. With all the updates attached to the new Leaderboard system, fans are enjoying the CS2 Limited Test.
For CS:GO players who are yet to accept the CS2 Limited Test invite, one will have to navigate their main menu in Global Offensive and head to the top right section of the screen. If the person is eligible for the Limited Test session, the invite screen will pop up from where one can begin the download.
Upon downloading Counter-Strike 2, one must launch CS:GO, where the player can pick between launching Global Offensive and CS2.
According to Valve's previous post, a player must have the following to be eligible for the Limited Test invite:
- CS:GO Prime Status
- An active Competitive Skill Group (Rank)
- Majority of matchmaking games in a single region
A player not meeting the criteria will likely not receive the current wave CS2 Limited Test invite.
