Sony India has launched a refreshed version of its premium Bravia TVs with a focus on enabling users to recreate cinema-like experiences in the comfort of their homes. As part of its latest ‘Cinema is Coming Home’ campaign, the company has launched the new BRAVIA 9, 8, 7, and 3 series designed to “bring the magic of the big screen right into living rooms.”
The flagship Bravia 9 series leads the pack and offers an XR Backlit MasterDrive that offers high peak luminance, supreme contrast, and natural colors. It can be coupled with the latest BRAVIA Theatre Bar 8, BRAVIA Theatre Bar 9, and Bravia Theatre Quad for a more immersive experience.
“With ‘Cinema is Coming Home,’ we are bringing to life the filmmaker’s vision in the most authentic way possible. Our BRAVIA products are designed to deliver the ultimate cinema experience, combining dazzling picture quality with immersive sound that resonates with the soul of movie enthusiasts,” said Sunil Nayyar, managing director of Sony India.

What’s New Sony’s Refreshed Bravia Lineup?
Sony is also moving away from its existing nomenclature of premium TV models such as the A80L or A95L series. “To increase customer brand recognition of BRAVIA and to help customers better understand our products, we have introduced marketing names in addition to model names and changed our naming rules,” the company said.
With a strong position in manufacturing both consumer electronics as well as professional filmmaking gear, the company is in a position to offer a cinematic experience with its BRAVIA televisions and BRAVIA Theatre home audio devices.
For example, Sony said the new lineup comes with Studio Calibration, a feature that offers picture quality as filmmakers intend. It has been created in collaboration with OTT streaming platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
