The first teaser trailer for Riot Games' eagerly expected second season of Arcane, the popular animated League of Legends series, has been released. Although it's very short, it appears to support a major fan theory from Season 1. In the 44-second teaser, Singed appears to be receiving blood transfusions. After checking his watch, he looks up and the camera reveals a huge beast dangling above him. Arcane centers on the connection between competing sisters Vi and Jinx, who are on opposite sides of the struggle between the oppressed underground city of Zaun and the utopian metropolis of Piltover. The crazy chemist Singed, who invented Shimmer, the medication at the core of the show's plot, is shown in the new teaser along with Warwick, the human who turned werewolf.

The show's debut season became the first streaming series to win Outstanding Animated Program and went on to win four Primetime Emmy Awards. Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation-Color, Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation-Background Design, and Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation-Production Design are among the other Emmy awards that the recipient has received. In addition, the series won the most victories out of all the titles it was nominated for, taking home nine Annie Awards. Best TV/Media-General Audience, Best FX, Best Character Design, Best Direction, Best Production Design, Best Storyboarding, Best Voice Acting, and Best Writing were among those Annie Award winners. Arcane also took home the first-ever Game Awards Best Adaption trophy.
Aside from launching a new Arcane video, the developer has revealed a number of other details and announcements to mark the start of League of Legends Season 2024. One of its announcements is the introduction of Vanguard to League, which is an attempt at fighting the increasing quantity of bots in the game. Additionally, it is a reaction to the rise in scripting and disruptive Smurf accounts, which are new accounts made by seasoned players to enter matches against lower-ranked players in Ranked.
When Riot first released Valorant, Vanguard served as their always-on anti-cheat mechanism. Because it contains a kernel-mode element that allows it access to the player's computer's core, its implementation has sparked debate. Having said that, the company's decision to add to League suggests that it has been successful in keeping cheaters out. When Riot discovers that players have played against cheats and bots, Vanguard will enable it to end live matches and give players LP back.
Set in the League of Legends universe created by Riot Games, the first season aired in November 2021, hence there was a three-year wait for Season 2. The first season, which still holds a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, received widespread praise upon its airing from both critics and fans. With a score of 96%, the audience is also extremely close to ideal. Arcane's first season is available for watching on Netflix, and the second season will be released in November 2024, though the exact day has not yet been disclosed.
