Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater Gameplay Showcased by Konami at Xbox Partner Preview Live Stream Event
Konami first revealed Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater at the PlayStation Showcase in 2023 Q1. During the showcase, the Japanese publishers mentioned that the title will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Moreover, Konami also describes the upcoming title as a faithful remake that will stay true to its core. In the official presentation, Konami mentioned that both the new generation of gamers and veteran fans can experience the origin story of Big Boss and how his legend formed during the Operation Snake Eater timeline.
Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is solely a Konami project as neither Hideo Kojima (creator of the Metal Gear saga) nor Kojima Productions is involved in the making of the title. The first in-engine footage was also under the tag of 'Pre-Alpha Footage', meaning the title will likely undergo more visual and technical changes before it officially launches. The footage showcased Naked Snake's slow walking through the swamp and stealthily taking on his enemies using various techniques and gadgets.
Upon watching the presentation at the Xbox Partner Preview Event for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, one will find a lot of resemblance in the game's movements with the recent Metal Gear Solid titles such as Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain. The presentation also showcases the powerful Unreal Engine 5 hardware support with extraordinary visuals and physics in-game. Despite the Konami-Kojima split in 2015, the former has repeatedly mentioned that the title will be a faithful recreation of the original story and game design. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will also see evolving gameplay and visuals that will come along with a seamless user experience.
