Multiple Meta-owned Apps, including Facebook, Instagram and Threads went through a downtime. These apps, faced downtime around 9 PM and many users reported that they were logged out of the apps without understanding what happened. The DownDetector showed as many as 32,537 reports regarding Instagram being down. Thousands of people across multiple countries faced the outage and no one knows when the servers will be back online.

Meta-Owned Apps Face Unexplained Outage
The DownDetector showed that India was not the only country facing the outage, inface many countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Brazil faced the same issue. Meta spokesperson Andy Stone also took to X to address the issue and said:
We're aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now.
Meta is yet to address this issue and tell the users the reason behind this huge outage. However, one Meta-owned app that didn't suffer from the outage was WhatsApp and users reported that they were able to use the app perfectly. Minutes after the downtime was experienced by people, they moved to Elon Musk-owned X to see if they were the only ones. Even Musk, who is known to post memes about various situations took a dig at the outage and posted a meme.
