Earlier this year, Google introduced “Circle to Search” which does exactly what its moniker suggests. The feature enables users to draw a circle on pictures to search and identify the object.
The feature was first available for Samsung Galaxy S24 series and Pixel 8. Now, it seems the popular feature is making its way to Apple’s iOS soon. It will be available through Google Chrome for iOS. According to The Mac Observer, Google is working on an updated version of Google Lens Search, internally called “LensOverlay.” Eventually, the update could bring along Circle to Search.
The outlet also claims that a new flag “Lens Circle to Search” has been added suggesting that users can look for items by just circling on their screen on Chrome for iOS. Once enabled, the feature will be accessible within Google Lens for iPhone users.

When Will iPhone Users Get Circle To Seach Feature?
While there is no word on when the company will be releasing the Circle to Search, the feature could be rolled out in the coming months. Also, there is no clarity on whether this feature is part of Apple and Google’s partnership to roll out AI features, but it’s very likely. It remains uncertain whether it will be exclusive to iPhones or extend to iPads. It’s likely that the company will release the feature for other devices as well.
To use the Circle to Search features on iPhone even before it is launched officially, users can try some workarounds. They can use Google Lens and the pre-installed Shortcuts app. That’s why, once the feature officially debuts on Chrome on iOS, it will be useful in daily tasks.
The bottom line here is that the feature makes it easier to look for things online, and its official rollout for iOS sounds interesting. Users will be able to draw a circle around what they want to look for, and the browser looks it up for players which is a super handy tool.

Pixel Phones To Allow Circle To Search In Split Screen
Google’s Pixel smartphones might soon be adding split-screen support for its popular feature - Circle to Search. It means that players will be able to use the feature while using two apps side by side on their screen.
In a write-up for Android Authority, Mishaal Rahman came across something interesting while looking for the Pixel Launcher app bundled with the Android 15 Beta 1.2 release. The Android expert found a flag that will allow Pixel users to use Circle to Search while running apps in split-screen mode.
The feature first came on the Galaxy S24 series before it could make its way to Google’s flagship Pixel series. Circle to Search quickly rose to popularity, thanks to its snappy and convenient way to search for information by just circling on the display.
