Asus has released the new ROG Ally X handheld gaming console for Indian consumers. The latest gaming console was unveiled at Computex 2024 earlier this year and is powered by the AMD Z1 Extreme CPU.
The gaming console succeeds the Asus ROG Ally and comes with some noticeable upgrades, the most noteworthy of which is a bigger battery, which was one of the biggest concerns of users of its predecessor. The Ally X comes with a sleek black design that is ergonomic for maximum comfort.

Asus ROG Ally X Price And Features
The Asus ROG Ally X will be selling at a price of Rs 89,990 in the Indian market and will be available in a single color option: black. The gaming console can be purchased from the company’s ROG Store, Eshop, Flipkart, Amazon, and other offline retailers.
The Asus ROG Ally X comes with similar specifications as its global counterpart. It comes with a 7-inch full HD IPS touchscreen display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a response time of 7ms.
As per the company, this screen is capable of reaching a peak brightness of 500 nits and has 100 percent sRGB coverage. It comes equipped with the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for added protection. To address concerns like screen tearing, the company has included AMD’s FreeSync Premium technology in the new gaming handheld console.

Asus ROG Ally X Under The Hood
The Asus ROG Ally X weighs 678g and has dimensions of 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.47. It runs on the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chipset with an 8-core Zen 4 architecture. The hardware is backed by an RDNA 3 GPU and 24GB of LPDDR5X dual-channel onboard RAM. It has a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD with upgradable capacity to 4TB for storage. Besides, the gaming console runs on Windows 11 operating system.
The new gaming console packs a dual-speaker system with Smart Amplifier Technology and Dolby Atmos support to improve their gaming experience. In addition, its built-in array microphone is Hi-Res certified and includes AI noise cancellation.
As for connectivity, the gaming console comes with a Thunderbolt 4 port that supports DisplayPort, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a UHS-II microSD card reader. Moreover, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E are also present. As for the battery, the new console has double the capacity of its precursor. It has an 80Wh 4-cell Li-ion battery and could offer 65W via USB Type-C.
