Samsung is aware that Apple might have upset a lot of people with its “Crush” ad released recently that crushed arcade games, instruments, and sculptures into a shiny new OLED-screened iPad Pro. And, Samsung doesn’t want to miss a chance to take a jab at its competitor. Apple eventually apologized for the ad, with an executive saying it “missed the mark.”

On one hand, responses came from creatives like Hugh Grant and others who recognized a somewhat blatant portrayal of Big Tech’s aggressive stance towards art, copyright, and history, driven by powerful generative AI tools. On the other hand, there were people who got frustrated by the very existence of any backlash.

Samsung Takes A Jab At Apple For iPad Pro Ad

In response, Samsung Mobile’s X handle posted a video with the hashtag “UnCrush,” which, as per Ad Age, was created by BBH USA and directed by Zen Pace. The video shows a woman walking on debris and spilled paint which is similar to Apple’s big hydraulic press incident and taking a seat to hum and play notes on a guitar. But she was assisted by notes displayed on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 backed by Galaxy AI.

It doesn’t matter which side you choose in this banter, when it comes to the political divide of the iPad ad, it’s funny to see how Samsung is trying to target Apple’s weak point.

Samsung’s marketing department has been specializing in this kind of stuff, which the company’s lawyers’ believe “drove Apple crazy,” but it seemed to have lost its charm after deleting ads about iPhones dropping the in-box charging adapter. Recently, the company also showcased a browser-based Galaxy test drive for iPhone owners, but it failed to create the same impact as mocking iPhone's notch.

Samsung Mocked Apple For Its Alarm Bug

Recently, it was revealed that several iPhones were hit by a bug where the alarm didn’t go off, and many people complained about not reaching their workplace on time due to this issue. And as Samsung has done in the past, it did not leave the opportunity to take a dig at Apple.

Samsung UK took a jab at the iPhone maker by posting a short video (Reel) on its Instagram handle, trolling Apple for the alarm bug on the iPhone. In the video, you will be able to see a dog, wearing a hat, dancing on the remixed version of Samsung’s default alarm tone.

The video also had a caption that read: “Rest assured, our alarms GO OFF,” while adding that “Samsung users woke up on time today.” The remixed version of Samsung’s alarm tone has a nice ring to it and is pretty catchy as well.
