Before the match started, one of his fellow streamers had told xQc that if he won the bet, he would make more money than the winning team.
NAVI won the event and walked away with the title, trophy and $500,000 winning in a $1.25 million pool.
Popular streamer, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel was one of the people to have bet in favour of NAVI winning the PGL Copenhagen Major 2024. During his stream, a pop-up came on the screen and showed that xQc won $842,137.34 from the NAVI vs FaZe Clan at the PGL Copenhagen Major 2024. It was revealed that he had put in $200,000. During the stream, xQc failed to see the pop-up and it was someone from the chat who pointed out his victory.
Before the match started, one of his fellow streamers had told xQc that if he won the bet, he would make more money than the winning team. The streamer said:
So if you win this bet... you win more than the f**ing Major winners
After xQc won the bet, he understood the magnitude of the amount he won and asked his chat "What? Wait, all of them combined."
Before winning this bet, xQc had lost $ 200K on a bet on MOUZ, but xQc lost it and blamed it on the protester who interrupted the match and broke MOUZ's momentum. The French Canadian streamer then put his bet on NAVI to win it for him.
For the unversed, NAVI won the event and walked away with the title, trophy and $500,000 winning in a $1.25 million pool. FaZe Clan, who came in second took home a prize of $170,000. Team Vitality and G2 Esports won $80,000, each.
