Team Soul's Sid Addresses Team's Shocking Exit from BGMI Series 2023
One cannot deny the domination Team Soul had in round 3 and round 4 and swiftly climbed to the top of the leaderboard. Fans were eagerly waiting to see Team Soul on LAN, and to fulfil their wishes, the team had to secure the top 16 spots in the BGIS semifinals. After a disappointing start on Day 1, Team Soul couldn't pick up their momentum, and after 12 matches, the team was 23rd spot with 60 overall points.
Responding to the question "What went wrong in BGIS?" team manager Sid speaks on how the team couldn't capitalize on the games where luck favoured them. They could have qualified if the team could consolidate their position in those games.
Out of the 12 games, we only had two three games where the luck favoured us a little bit, and we failed to capitalize in those games. In BGMI tournaments, out of 12-15 games, teams will get 3-4 games where the luck will be favouring them, and if they can capitalize on them, the team can relax in other games and score 6-8 points in them, then it is fine. Mostly, our team failed to capitalize on the maps where luck favoured us.
With 16 teams remaining in BGIS, the teams will meet at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium, Worli, Mumbai, for BGMI Lan on 13 October 2023. The finals will continue till 15 October 2023, when the fans will get their Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 winners and grab the lion's share of Rs. 75,00,000 out of the Rs. 2,00,00,000 prize pool.
