GTA 6 Trailer Revealed: Who are the Main Characters in the Next Grand Theft Auto Game

The first trailer for GTA 6 has arrived, and it’s bringing a whole new set of characters to the table. The first trailer for GTA 6 was revealed hours before it was supposed to in an effort by Rockstar to combat the trailer leak. Due to the leak, Rockstar Games decided to post the trailer 12 hours earlier than it was previously announced. GTA VI: Who Are The New Main Characters In The New GTA Game?

The first character that was presented to everyone in the trailer was a female prisoner. Her name is Lucia. According to her accent in the game, many believe her to be of Latin American descent. At the start of the trailer, we see her in her prison cell looking outside. In a conversation with the prison counsellor, she states her reason for being locked up in the prison is bad luck. Within the trailer, we can see her travelling around in various vehicles such as a speedboat, sports car, and motorcycle. The trailer finally confirmed that it will be taking place in Vice City, first introduced all the way back in the 2000s in various games such as GTA Vice City and Vice City Stories. 

The second main character shown in the trailer is the love interest of Lucia. Currently, his name has not been announced or stated. In the big September 2022 leak of GTA 6, the male protagonist was named James, and he was also referred to as Jason elsewhere in the game, but the name wasn't mentioned in the trailer. He is believed to be of American descent. In the trailer, we can see his attire is quite similar to the one CJ wore in GTA San Andreas. From the gameplay footage released it is quite obvious that the two characters are romantically attached. They also share a form of Bonnie and Clyde-style relationship as we see them stealing cars and driving them on the highway.

GTA VI is stated to be released in 2025 with the main game said to take place in the expanded version of Vice City. Only time will tell how much Vice City has changed since the last time we got to explore and play in it.
