When is GTA 6 Coming Out?

Rockstar Games have officially confirmed the reveal of Grand Theft Auto 6 alongside their 25th-anniversary plans in the coming month. According to Rockstar's official post on Twitter/X, the company plans to release the first trailer for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game in December, celebrating its 25 years with the gaming community. Video game producer, co-founder, and president of Rockstar Games, Sam Houser, officially delivered the message. 

The message also added that they look forward to many more years of sharing experiences with the community in the coming years. That said, it is yet to see what the trailer unveils alongside the first official look of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto title.

Rockstar Might Possibly Launch Grand Theft Auto 6 in the Next Fiscal Year

Rockstar's recent official posts only disclosed the upcoming reveal trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6. That said, fans are still left wondering about the actual release date for the game. While Rockstar hasn't announced anything regarding the release window, the parent company, Take-Two Interactive has hinted at one for the upcoming title. In August, the parent company told its investors that the company plans to see a 'significant inflexion point' during its 2025 fiscal year. 

Many analysts and outlets interpret the period as Grand Theft Auto 6's release window. This interpretation also means one can expect the game to come out during the 2024/25 FY window. Rockstar is possibly targeting a 2024 launch, after their official reveal on December 2023, however, the title can see significant delays due to polishing, as seen in most past titles, including Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto 6. 

Rockstar delayed the former three times back in 2018. That said, GTA V also received the same treatment with multiple delays, as it finally launched in 2013. Grand Theft Auto 6 can also receive a similar treatment from Rockstar following the official reveal.

What Expect From Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer?

According to leaks during the 'network intrusion' event on the Rockstar servers, gamers saw early footage of the game featuring a familiar setting. GTA 6 will possibly take fans back to the famous Vice City with two new protagonists. AS is the theme with previous announcement trailers, GTA 6's reveal trailer will possibly be a compilation of cinematics, and not much in terms of gameplay. Given that the game has been in development for a while, fans can expect Rockstar to share gameplay a couple of months or so after the reveal trailer.  The game is speculated to come out towards the end of 2024 or early 2025.
