Riot Games has finally released the patch notes for the upcoming Valorant 7.12 update.
The patch will provide many significant improvements to the competitive shooter. This includes a new TDM map and agents improvement.
The Valorant patch 7.12 is the last of 2023 and Episode 7 before Episode 8 arrives and takes over the next year.
A brand-new map called Drift as well as several other modifications is included in Riot Games' Valorant update 7.12, the year's last patch. As we approach the upcoming Valorant patch, major adjustments are planned for the initiators Gekko and Skye. Skye's Trailblazer ability has been slightly nerfed in the 7.12 update, although Gekko has gained several significant improvements.

The new team deathmatch map Drift, which was introduced over the weekend at the Gamechangers event, is the main highlight for patch 7.12. The long-range mid on the map, which has several paths for players to move in and out of and high ropes to cross, is modelled after Thailand's floating marketplaces. Drift presents a setting full of long hallways and cramped passageways. These characteristics set up perfect conditions for players to improve their mobility and aim skills. Piazza, District, and Kasbah—the three maps included in the game mode's first release—will be joined by the Thai-inspired map in the patch.

Two initiators, namely Gekko and Skye will be going through some changes according to the official patch notes:
Being able to get back his pets is one of Gekko's special abilities. The goal of this modification is to quicken the process so one can recover them in more instances.
Putting the concussion into line with other abilities like Gekko's Thrash, it becomes universal in terms of how it affects both allies and opponents. To successfully play around the Trailblazer, Skye and her team will need to be more intentional and coordinated. The patch will also be working on some bug fixes for agents, player behaviours and Premiere.
Fixed a problem that prevented you from being rewarded for kills while using an ability. This had an impact on Sova using Shock Dart (Q) to kill Owl Drone (C), Gekko using Mosh (C) to kill Thrash (X), and Cypher using Trapwire (C) to kill Spycam (E).
Everyone in the game will see the red portrait when KAY/O is killed during his NULL-CMD (X).
A bug that occasionally prevented a player from spawning in the following round after being detected as AFK was fixed, which prevented their teammates from receiving the pistol round bonus.
Party leaders can now create invite codes that other players can use in-game to join the same party owing to the implementation of party invite codes.
Premier solved a problem where the voting team's backdrop displayed the message "Waiting for Opponents" during overtime voting.
