Rockstar has also mentioned that both Liberty City Stories and Chinatown Wars will join the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The rotating assortment of classic Rockstar Games titles will remain on the GTA+ Membership as part of the benefits.
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories has been an underrated installment in the GTA franchise. Released in 2005, the action-adventure title was developed by Rockstar Leeds and Rockstar North as the ninth entry to the series. The title was a PlayStation Portable exclusive until the recent announcement. After almost two decades, gamers can officially enjoy Liberty City Stories on their handheld smartphones through GTA+ Membership, enjoying a whole different world of Grand Theft Auto on their mobiles.
Alongside Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is also a classic title to enjoy. The top-down crime adventure title allows one to take on the crime world from a whole different perspective. Chinatown Wars also uses a unique cel-shade art style, standing out from the rest of the entries when it comes to visual design. Players trying out the title for the first time can enjoy a scaled-down rendition of Liberty City from Grand Theft Auto: IV, with one missing landmark.
Inculcating various elements from other Grand Theft Auto installments, Chinatown Wars successfully delivers a top-tier experience even for a spin-off title. Initially launched for portable platforms like Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable, the title is now on the GTA+ Membership where one can enjoy the title on their iOS or Android devices.
