PS5 Slim Revealed: Sony Announces Launch Date for the PlayStation 5 Slim

Amidst the launch of a plethora of games, Sony revealed the newer version of PlayStation 5, which will be available from November 2023. The latest PlayStation 5 models offer a smaller form factor by reducing its volume and weight significantly than its predecessors. The highlight of the upcoming models of PS5 will be the addition of an Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive, which can be added to the digital edition of PS5 separately with 1TB SSD in both regular and digital editions of the consoles.

With the Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive, gamers can run physical copies of their games on the digital edition of PS5. The latest model of PS5 will be first available in November 2023 in the U.S., and Sony will later roll out the consoles for the rest of the world.

With the release of the newer PS5, Sony claims to reduce the console's volume by more than 30%, and PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition will see 18% and 24% in weight compared to their predecessors, respectively. The newer PS5 will be available from November 2023 U.S. for the retail price of $ 499.99/549.99 EUR and PS5 Digital Edition for $ 449.99/449.99 EUR. Both the versions of PS5 will be coming with 1TB SSD for internal storage
