Sony’s new PlayStation VR2 PC adaptor will allow players to connect their PS VR2 to their PC and access the SteamVR library.
One thing to note is that several PS VR2 features like HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback won’t be available while playing on PC.
With the announcement of the PS VR2 PC adaptor, gamers can consider buying the PS VR2, especially during the Days of Play celebration, where gamers can grab $100 off on PS VR2.
Sony launched the PlayStation VR2, a virtual-reality headset, in February 2022, which allowed PlayStation 5 players to enjoy new VR games. To expand the player’s library, Sony is about to launch a PS VR2 PC adaptor, which will allow players to access all the SteamVR titles.
PS VR2 is Sony’s second-generation VR headset, and to date, players can only play VR games from the PS library. With the launch of the PC adaptor, Sony wants to bring VR titles present on PC to PS VR2, helping PS VR2 players expand their library.

After a year of launching PS VR2, Sony is finally taking steps towards integrating the VR headset with PC. Sony will roll out the support for accessing SteamVR titles on PS VR2 headset on 7 August 2024 via their new PC adaptor. Sony’s new PlayStation VR2 PC adaptor will allow players to connect their PS VR2 to their PC and access the SteamVR library to play the games.
Sony also shared the minimum PC requirements for connecting and playing PS VR2 on a PC.
To set up PS VR2 with a PC, players will have to connect the headset to the PC using the PC adaptor via the DisplayPort 1.4. Download the PlayStation VR2 app and the SteamVR app, and set up PS VR2 on the PC.
